OVERVIEW

This policy outlines procedures and standards to be followed, in the events of disruption and emergency. Our Company is committed to ensuring continuity of business operations in the event of an unexpected situation or Disasters.

  1. PURPOSE
    1. The purpose of this policy is to establish a clear framework of set guidelines, to ensure continuity of business functions during and after the unwanted disruptions and emergencies. It helps to identify potential threats and measures to safeguard Company operations from such vulnerabilities. By upholding these set guidelines we can collectively contribute to the success of our company and maintain the trust and confidence of our employees and clients.
  2. SCOPE
    1. This policy applies to all employees, contractors, including full-time, part-time, and temporary, at all levels within the Company.
  3. RISK ASSESSMENT
    1. Risk assessment is a critical component of the business continuity process; it involves various steps such as identification and evaluation of potential risks within the company that could disrupt a company's operations. These risks can be identified as natural, technological (e.g.; system failures or crash down) or human –related (employee’s errors, chain disruptions) risks.
    2. The Company will regularly conduct Security Risk Assessments to identify and evaluate such risks within the Company.
    3. The Company will protect all valuable and sensitive company data, including personal and financial information from threats and data loss.
  4. RECOVERY STRATEGIES
    1. Recovery strategies are an essential part of this policy to ensure effective continuation of business operations after an unexpected event.
      1. Backup strategy- Backup of data is essential to ensure the recoverability of data while aligning with the Company’s data and requirements. All critical and sensitive data must be protected adequately.
      2. Alternative work location- Secondary office or remote work facilities to be provided if the primary workplace becomes inaccessible.
      3. Training and reporting- A Business continuity plan should be established to ensure a coordinated and effective response to disruptions. Any disruptions or emergencies should be reported promptly to the designated individuals or teams, and appropriate escalation procedures should be followed.
  5. BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLAN
    1. We will develop and maintain a business continuity plan that outlines the procedures and processes that will be followed in the event of a disruption to our business operations. This plan will be reviewed and updated regularly to ensure it remains relevant and effective.
