INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

  1. PURPOSE
    1. Our Company is committed to the well-being and safety of the employees working within Company. This policy is designed to outline clear guidelines and rules to be followed by employees during inclement weather conditions to ensure the safety of all, while also maintaining the operation and functional efficiency of the Company.
  2. SCOPE
    1. This policy applies to all employees, including full-time, part-time, temporary, at all levels within the Company. The policy encompasses the guidelines, and procedures to be followed during inclement weather conditions.
  3. INCLEMENT WEATHER CATEGORIES
    1. In the event of severe weather conditions that pose a significant threat to life, the Company will be closed. Such information will be informed to the employees through the Company’s authentic communication channels.
    2. If weather conditions are expected to improve later in the same day, the Company will delay its working status. The time for resuming the normal operations will be communicated through the Company’s Communication channels.
  4. MONITORING AND COMMUNICATION
    1. Weather Conditions: The Company will monitor weather conditions closely through reputable sources and meteorological services to access potential threats and make informed decisions regarding closures and delayed openings.
    2. Communications: Company will use the following communication channels to inform employees and clients about inclement weather-related changes in Company’s operations:
      1. Email notifications to all employees
      2. Updates on the organization's official website
      3. Notifications to local news stations and radio stations, if applicable
      4. Phone calls or text messages to employees, if necessary
    3. Notification Timing: Whenever possible, notifications about closures or delayed openings will be made in a timely manner to provide employees with adequate notice. The goal is to make these decisions at least [INSERT TIME FRAME, E.G., TWO HOURS] before the normal start time.
    4. Employee Responsibility: It is the responsibility of each employee to regularly check the communication channels mentioned above for updates on inclement weather conditions. If employees have concerns about the weather or travel safety, they should contact their immediate supervisor as soon as possible.
  5. WORK ARRANGEMENTS
    1. Remote Work- In the event of a full office closure due to inclement weather, all employees are encouraged to work remotely, if possible. If remote work is not feasible for certain positions, employees will be granted leave with pay for the duration of the closure.
    2. Flexible Schedules- In situations where employees can work remotely but may face challenges due to personal circumstances or weather-related issues, Company may allow flexible work hours to accommodate individual needs. Employees should coordinate these arrangements with their supervisors.
    3. Emergency leave- In extreme cases where employees are unable to work due to personal emergencies or weather-related incidents, they may be granted leave on approval.
  6. PAY AND COMPENSATION
    1. During Inclement weather conditions, that result in Company’s working closure, Employees will continue to receive their regular pay check or salary. Time away from work or because of office closures due to inclement weather conditions will not be deducted from their accrued paid time off.
  7. SAFETY MEASURES
    1. Our Company will regularly review and update its safety protocols and provide training on emergency procedures for all employees.
  8. COMMUNICATION
    1. Employees are expected to maintain regular communication with their managers and colleagues, regardless of their work location. The company will provide necessary communication tools to facilitate the communication channels.
  9. SECURITY
    1. Employees are responsible for maintaining the security of company data and information when working away from Company’s location. Employees must comply with our company's security policies and take necessary precautions to protect company data and information.
  10. PERFORMANCE
    1. Performance expectations for employees will remain the same, regardless of their work hours or location. Supervisors will evaluate employee performance based on agreed-upon goals and objectives, and provide regular feedback to help employees achieve their goals.
  11. CHANGES TO THE POLICY
    1. We reserve to right to update and make changes to this policy from time to time based on the working conditions of the Company. The Company on updating this policy will inform the employees of the Company.
