CAR ALLOWANCE POLICY

- SCOPE
- This policy applies to full-time employees within the Company. The scope of this policy is not limited to just work-place but also to work related functions in events or other functions that may use the employee’s car .The Company might take disciplinary or termination actions based upon the set guidelines in this policy.
- COMPLIANCE
- The employees must comply with applicable laws and safety rules to ensure they are operating within the legal boundaries, thus minimizing the accidents. Failure to comply with these laws can result in fines, legal actions and suspension to the employee.
- Failure to comply with the policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including suspension and termination of employment.
- ELIGIBILITY FOR CAR ALLOWANCE
- Full-time employees who are required to use their personal vehicles for work-related travels are eligible for a car allowance.
- Only those employees who have a valid driver’s license and an approved driving record shall be eligible for car allowance.
- All eligible employees must complete the authorization process before being permitted to car allowance. This process includes providing a copy of their driver's license, submitting to a driving record check.

- TERMINATION OF ALLOWANCE

- Termination of employment will result in the immediate discontinuation of the car allowance.
- EMPLOYEE’S CAR FOR BUSINESS PURPOSES
- The company reserves the right to utilize employees’ personal vehicles for business or company-related operations, including but not limited to meetings, office travel, client visits, and other work-related activities.
- Employees may be reimbursed for mileage when their personal vehicles are used for company business as per the company’s reimbursement policy.
- Employees allowing their personal vehicles to be used for company purposes are responsible for ensuring their vehicles are properly insured, maintained, and comply with all legal and safety requirements.
- The company will not be held liable for any damages, accidents, or liabilities arising from the use of an employee’s personal vehicle for company business, provided that such use is within the scope of authorized company activities and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Employees are responsible for ensuring the maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned vehicle. Any issues or maintenance needs should be promptly reported.
- RESPONSIBILITIES
- Employees are responsible for the safe and courteous operation of vehicles at all times. This includes adhering to traffic laws, using seat belts, and avoiding distracted driving.
- Regular maintenance checks, including fluid levels, tire pressure, and lights, should be conducted before each use. Any maintenance issues must be reported promptly.
- All accidents involving Vehicles, regardless of fault, must be reported to [INSERT DESIGNATED CONTACT] as soon as possible, Incidents of theft, vandalism, or any damage to a company vehicle must also be reported immediately.

- Reckless driving, speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or engaging in any behavior that endangers the other individual, passengers, or the public is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action.
