PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT POLICY

- DEFINITION OF PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) refers to the protective clothing, helmets, gloves, face masks or any other equipment designed to protect the employees from various hazards within the workplace, such as chemical, biological, radiological, electrical and other physical hazards.
- SCOPE
- This policy applies to all employees, contractors including full-time, part-time, temporary, and any individual at [INSERT NAME OF THE COMPANY] who are required to use PPE while performing their duties.
- RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Company is responsible for ensuring that all personal protective equipment’s are designed and available to all employees.

- Employees are expected to use PPE properly, maintain their PPE, and attend all training sessions conducted by the Company.
- Employees are expected to report any discomfort or concerns how minor it may be or any associated risks, to the appropriate authority or supervisor immediately.
- TYPES OF PPE
- The following types of PPE may be required, depending on the identified hazards:
- Safety Helmets
- Gloves (Based on requirement such as chemical resistant, heat-resistant etc.,)
- Masks and respirators
- Earmuffs
- Protective lab coats and vests
- Safety glasses, face shields

- We will provide regular training and awareness programs to ensure that all employees are knowledgeable about the proper use, maintenance, and limitations of PPE and are aware of its importance in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Employees must inspect PPE before each use to ensure it is in good working conditions. Any damaged or defective PPE must be reported to a supervisor immediately.
- Employees must maintain their PPE according to the instructions provided by the Company to ensure its effectiveness and longevity.
- COMPLIANCE AND REPORTING
- Compliance with this policy and applicable laws should be regularly monitored and reviewed to identify and address any potential gaps or non-compliance. Failure to adhere to this policy may result in disciplinary action.
- Any identified breaches or non-compliance should be promptly investigated, and appropriate corrective actions should be taken.
- CHANGES TO THE POLICY
